I will always remember the moment when my yoga journey began. It felt like a natural transition, as if an invisible force had gently guided me in the right direction, leading me exactly where I needed to go.
I have always been deeply fascinated by inner work, meditation, and the importance of nurturing both our physical and mental health. I knew how crucial it was not to neglect these aspects of life, and how essential it was to learn how to care for myself. Yet, I often struggled to put it into practice.
Staying consistent was a challenge. My mind was always crowded with thoughts whenever I tried to focus on meditation. I understood the power of conscious breathing, but applying it in my daily life was not easy.
That’s when I decided to enroll in a teacher training course to become a certified Yoga Alliance teacher. I was fortunate to study under the guidance of Timea Vitez at the YogaMea school in Misano.
Through this journey, I discovered an approach to yoga that was not only professional but also deeply authentic. It’s a style that honors not only the practice of asanas and body anatomy but also the ancient philosophy of yoga — a philosophy that guides us towards personal growth.
I learned the importance of acceptance without judgment. I realized that in yoga, we don’t need to feel perfect — we simply need to accept ourselves as we are, exactly where we are in that moment.
Yoga revealed to me a profound discipline, one that unites physical health with inner well-being. It taught me to view life with greater clarity and presence. To truly breathe, with awareness — because breathing is our most loyal companion.
It is an endless journey. Even as a teacher, I remain a student: in yoga, you never stop learning. When I started teaching, I immediately felt at home. There was an undeniable connection with my students. Accompanying them on this deeply personal and transformative journey is an immense joy for me.
Connecting with others, guiding them, and walking side by side on the path of self-discovery — this, for me, is a priceless gift.
Hugs,
Sandra
